Dr. Lucente is the founder of the Institute and a nationally regarded leader in the treatment of female urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Since 1990, he has devoted his expertise to minimally invasive, advanced laparoscopic surgery and has perfected many new surgical procedures. He has authored numerous publications, including textbooks and journal articles.
Dr. Lucente is a frequent speaker at national and international scientific/medical meetings. A leader in clinical research, he has trained hundreds of physicians on the latest advancements in surgery for urinary incontinence.
Dr. Murphy completed his three-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Louisville. He has extensive training in minimally invasive surgical procedures and clinical research for female incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
Dr. Murphy has a special interest in neuro-urology. He has already been recognized as an emerging leader in the surgical management of refractory urgency and frequency using neuromodulation.
Dr. Bhatia joined the Institute as a fellow in July 2009. She hopes to positively impact the lives of her patients, as well as the field of Urogynecology and women’s health care.
