Personal Statement - Nina Bhatia, MD
I entered the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, wanting to help improve the lives of women. During residency I realized that an overwhelming number of women suffer daily from incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. I was amazed at just how many women struggled with these ailments for years because they thought there nothing that could be done to help them.
As I begin my fellowship, I look forward to learning how to effectively manage and treat women suffering with conditions of incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse through medical and surgical advancements. I hope to positively impact the lives of my patients, as well as the field of Urogynecology and women’s health care. I am fortunate to train at The Institute for Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery with extremely experienced, educated, and dedicated physicians who are leaders and pioneers in this field.
While I am not working, I enjoy traveling throughout US and abroad, experiencing the music, art, and cuisine of different cultures. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I also love to paint, dance, play tennis, and baseball, as well as the violin, and hope to learn to play the piano some day!
