New Hope for Women with Fecal Incontinence

Once again the Institute is leading the way in research for new surgical porcedues and devices. The Institute is currently participating in a study for TOPAS, a device designed for support of the pelvic floor, especially the puborectalis muscle, in women who suffer from fecal incontinence.The study lead by the women’s health research at St. Luke’s Hospital and Dr. Lucente, principle investigator and Dr. Molden. The Institute has enrolled more women in the protocol than any other site nationally. For more inforamation visit our research section.
