Dr Lucente attended the 34th Annual Meeting of the International Urogynecological Association in Villa Erba, Lake Cumo, Italy, June 16-20, 2009. At the meeting he lead numerous workshops and presented posters and gave oral presentations on research co-authored with physcians from the insititute:

The conference was an international gathering of physicians in the field of urogynecology and focused on major clinical research finding in the field this past year. The Institute for Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery was among a select few to have multiple posters and papers accepted for presentation .
Following the he traveled to Paris, France where he was a guest lecturer and surgical instructor in a new sling awaiting release in the United States.
